What is Love?
Is it walking in the beach
while holding hands?
Is it eating dinner by candlelight?
Is it sharing your
secrets with one another?
Sharing them, because no matter
what you do, you know
they'll always choose you?
Is it trusting someone
with the power to
make or break you?
Is it caring more about someone
than you do yourself?
Is it sticking up for them
when it seems the world is against them?
Is it catching them when they fall?
Trusting them to catch YOU
when YOU fall?
Is it holding on and never letting go?
Is it being forever loyal to
someone, while hoping they feel the
same way about you?
Is it hugging?
Is it kissing? Both?
What is love?
And after you figure it out
WHAT is is, how do you
describe it?
What does it feel like, taste like, look like, smell like, sound like?
How would you describe it to someone who
doesn't know what is is?
Is it warm and buttery,
or does it have an icy chill?
Do butterflies really form
in your stomach?
Do breathy signs and
sweet smells permeate the air?
Does it taste sugary like candy,
or does it leave your tongue
with a bitter after taste?
Does it hurt? A lot?
If so, is it a bad thing?
Why do people do stupid things for love,
and why do some loves last longer than others?
If love is different for everyone,
how do you know when it's real?
When it's yours? </3
This is a strong poem, the whole poem is beautifully said.
